*** SOLAR ECLIPSE CLOSURE INFORMATION: Clingmans Dome Road will be closed Saturday evening, 8/19 through Monday evening, 8/21. All vehicles must be clear from the road by 11 pm on Saturday, 8/19. All trails, campsites and trails will remain open, but backpackers should carefully consider the road closure when planning their itineraries. Visitors should be prepared for high volume traffic on all park roads on Monday, August 21.
